Centennial Unit
18 of the 30 units in the Tawakoni District earned the Centennial Unit status last in 2009, and got ribbons for their unit flags at the District Dinner.   Turn this form in to your Unit Commissioner by Roundtable on March 11th.  Unit can begin to qualify for the award as soon as October 31st if goals are met, district leadership determines which units have achieved Centennial Unit status for 2010.   In the Centennial Unit program the unit sets its own goals, in consultation with your unit commissioner and uses those goals to make sure the youth in your unit receive a strong outdoor program, that leaders are trained, that the unit supports the local council through Friends of Scouting and other similar items that when put together mean your unit has had a strong year.
