Scholarship Opportunities
EAGLE SCHOLARSHIPS Please remind your 2007 Eagles of the scholarships available. Many will have already heard of the NESA scholarships. Applications can be downloaded from http://www.nesa.org/ . Applications will be accepted through January 31, 2008. Many colleges and universities also make scholarships available to Eagles. Several college and religious scholarships are listed on the NESA site with their application and deadline. One interesting university program is sponsored by Texas A & M University. District Award of Merit
The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts in the same manner that the Silver Beaver is a national award presented by councils.

Silver Beaver Nomination Form & Worksheet
The award is made for noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth by registered Cub Scouters, Scouters, Varsity Scouters, and Exploring leaders within the territory under the jurisdiction of a local council.
